I attended an event last night called Launch Party Vancouver, where I met a number of great entrepreneurs, business owners, online and social media marketing consultants. Here are a few of the people I connected with last night:
- Chris Breikss – CEO – 6S Marketing
- Ben Pickering – CEO – Strutta
- Clovis Najm – CEO – Mobio Identity Systems
- Daryl Hatton – CEO – ConnectionPoint Systems Inc.
- Rick Perrault – CEO – Unbounce Marketing Systems
- Aaron Hilton - President – Cellmap Inc.
As I usually do, I went through my normal process today of gathering all of the business cards I collected and added those people into my social network. Since I do this all the time, I figured I’d put together a video that explains my process and why I do this.
Of course, in today’s world, people are more busy than ever. That’s what makes these events so great. They are an opportunity to connect face-to-face with like-minded people in a casual environment. You really can’t replace the impact of meeting someone in person. But, by extending these relationships online, I find it much easier to keep in touch with people as most are busy running their businesses during the day and meeting for a 30 minute coffee sometimes isn’t feasible.
In this video, I share the process that I go through anytime I meet new people and collect their business card. I’m sure many of you reading this have a big stack of business cards that you’ve never done anything with. Hopefully these tips will help you expand your network and build relationship online that could lead to long term business business success.
I would love to hear feedback on how you manage your online and offline relationships. I am always looking for new ways to manage my time more efficiently and build lasting relationships and invite you to share your ideas in the comments section below!
